Algebra is a unifying thread of almost all of Mathematics with very wide applications in real life ranging from science to economics. It is a tool used in formulating models to forecast future events, in fact algebraic activities makes our daily life meaningful even though we may not take cognizance of this.
Algebra is one of the broad parts of mathematics, together with number theory, geometry and analysis. In its most general form, algebra is the study of mathematical symbols and the rules for manipulating these symbols; it is a unifying thread of almost all of mathematics. The study of algebra should be overemphasized because without it economic models wouldn’t have been developed, there wouldn’t have been scientific data or it would have been useless if it exist, there wouldn’t have been technology and its advancement, in fact life wouldn’t have been as flexible as it is now.
